Careers Advisory Service provides new interview practice software
Need to practise your interview skills? Wondering how you really come across in an interview?
The Interviewer is a program which allows you to record yourself answering interview questions, then you can play back the recordings to review your performance.
A bit scary? Yes, but definitely worth getting some practice before the real thing!
There are 15 interviews to choose from, so you can focus on your specific needs e.g. leadership skills, focus on a specific organisation.
About 30 minutes should be OK to get something useful from the software. If you’d like to have a go, bring your Library card to Reception and ask to borrow the webcam and headset.
You can copy your recordings to a memory stick to play back using your audiovisual software.
We hope this resource will be a huge benefit to compliment our popular workshops and the practice interviews which are always over-subscribed.
You can use the software whenever you like during our opening hours. The software lets you re-do questions to improve your performance, and you can come back for further sessions as needed.
It should help you reflect on your performance and develop your skills, whilst gaining insight into the hidden motives behind interview questions. Feel free to bring a friend along to comment on how you do!
