Find a graduate job: careers fairs
- Our Vacation Work & Volunteering Fair is a chance for you to meet a range of organisations with vacation, gap year and volunteering opportunities, and takes place in the spring term. It was unfortunately cancelled last minute in 2009, however please collect a programme from the office containing a list of the exhibitors that were booked, and information on their vacancies & opportunities for this year. The next event will be held on Thursday 18th February 2010. For further details please see our pages on vacation work.

This is one of the national Summer
Graduate Recruitment Fairs. These are an opportunity to go job-hunting in the summer term and once finals
are over. There are various fairs around the country, and graduates from any
institution are welcome to attend. You should take some CVs, and talk to as many
employers as you can. They will all be offering jobs for an immediate or autumn
start.
All the summer fairs are advertised in Prospects Jobs and Courses digital magazine and the last issue of Prospects Finalist for the academic year. The next fair is on Tuesday 8th June 2010. - 2009'S Autumn Careers Fair was on Thursday 22nd October, and 117 employers attended. This fair is an opportunity to find out in an informal setting what some of the
big and smaller employers are offering for finalists and earlier
years. You can gather information and use it to your advantage
when making your applications, as well as getting an early feel
for whether a particular employer is going to be right for you.
On the day we will have the booklet "Careers:The Guide" available for the finalists which will include information about career choice,
enhancing your employability and other help aswell as full details
of the employers attending the Careers Fair. For earlier years,
you can choose just to collect a plan and listings of those employers
offering summer or Industrial Placements.
