Aims: To create an awareness of required macroeconomic changes to transform an administrative to market economy, by a study of the key required macroeconomic changes.

Content:
Sequencing transition policies; transformational recession and recovery; measurement of transition; exchange rate and inflation policies; trade and growth. The development role of public sectors in transitional economies.
