| Description:
| Aims: This unit aims to provide the student with the skills and opportunity to: * create and produce all the high quality material required for a major practical project; * undertake detailed monitoring of the progress and expenditure of the project to ensure completion. Learning Outcomes: On completion of the unit the student should: * have acquired the skills to produce the high quality content necessary for the project; * be able to undertake appropriate project and financial monitoring; * be able to review and modify content and organisation in response to project development and changing circumstances. Skills: Intellectual: (T and A) * Produce content. * Evaluate content. Professional: (T and A) * Produce content. * Financial monitoring. * Modify content as appropriate. * Project management. Practical: (T and A) * Produce content. Key: * Financial monitoring. (T: Taught, F: Facilitated, A: Assessed). Content: * Producing high quality content for the production which is relevant and which has been described during the pre-production processes, e.g. in the scripts, story boards, etc. * Monitoring the progression of the production using industry standard conventions, e.g. daily report sheets. * Controlling the budget of the production to ensure that the project can be completed within budget and propose remedial action if necessary to compensate for overspend. * Undertaking detailed and reflective evaluation of the content being produced assessing it in terms of 'fitness for purpose', quality and suitability. * Undertaking directed reading to inform and support the production. |
