To provide understanding of recent developments in economic theory.
To help students to achieve competence in the use of theoretical tools of economic analysis.
To help students achieve critical understanding of recent research.

Learning Outcomes:
Students should be able to:
* Demonstrate awareness and understanding of recent advances in micro and macro economics;
* Apply advanced theoretical tools in a variety of applied settings;
* Pursue post-graduate research and policy-oriented work.

General Equilibrium, Game Theory (Static and Dynamic Games, Perfect and Imperfect Information Games), Bargaining and Auctions, Macroeconomic Analysis of Goods Labour and Financial Markets, Inter-temporal Aspects of Consumption and Investment, Unemployment Inflation and Expectations.
