To give learners the opportunity to:
* understand the importance of IT security;
* understand the role of the IT Security Professional;
* appreciate the ethical considerations that must taken.

Learning Outcomes:
To achieve this unit a learner must:
* demonstrate an understanding of general security concepts
* be able to Identify potential risks
* be able to monitor activity and intrusion detection
* understand the basics of computer forensics and security management
* understand security policy and be able to apply security measures
* demonstrate an understanding of professional ethics.
