To gain an advanced theoretical and critical understanding of the range of knowledge and skills underpinning sports management, policy development.
To appreciate the range of roles within the profession.

Learning Outcomes:
Students completing this unit will:
* Have gained an understanding of the range of knowledge and skills underpinning sports management, development and policy.
* Will appreciate the range of roles within the professions and will explore the individual requirements of a specific role.
* Will be able to explain and discuss the relevance of mainstream management, policy and development theories and practices within an applied sports context.
* Understand and utilise reflective practice to enhance and develop the specific skills / abilities needed in a professional environment.
