To introduce students to both the theory underpinning commonly used nutritional techniques and also gain the ability to apply the concept of dietary analysis;
To equip sports therapists with the skills required to study and learn effective lifestyle management techniques and associated exercise strategies.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
* Outline the function of major macronutrients and micronutrients in the context of sports activity and lifestyle;
* Understand principles and practice of dehydration / rehydration;
* Understand the important factors that impact on the lifestyle of sportsmen and sportswomen.
