This will unit will allow students to apply the knowledge gained from the 'Planning for Coaching' unit and further develop their understanding of the coaching process. Students will also learn how to use different coaching styles and behaviours for effective coaching in different environments.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
* Analyse how effective planning, organisation and management of coaching affects the optimal coaching environment;
* Analyse the importance and impact of progressions, differentiation, and adaptability in coaching delivery;
* Analyse different coaching styles and behaviours for different coaching environments;
* Outline and apply the role of analysis in the coaching process.

* Apply the principles of planning, organising and managing a coaching session to coaching practice.
* Apply the principals of progression, differentiation and adaptability in a coaching session to coaching practice.
* Apply the factors that create an optimal coaching environment in a coaching session to coaching practice.
* The role of analysis and planning in effective coaching practice.
* Behaviours for effective coaching; communication, problem solving, manner, decision making, interpersonal skills, demonstration, feedback.
* Influences of different coaching styles on performance; coach centred versus athlete centred approaches. Moston & Ashworth's teaching spectrum.
