To confirm the students' capability and competence for independent architectural Practice.

Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this Unit the student will have demonstrated to the professional examiners the requisite level of ability, skill, knowledge and understanding to permit him/her to be recommended for entry to the register of Architects within the United Kingdom.

Skills:
The ability to apply theoretical knowledge to the practice of architecture, to demonstrate skill, knowledge and understanding of the principles and protocols that govern the practice of Architecture and to exercise professional judgement under stressful situations.

Content:
The summative oral examination of the student through the scrutiny of his/her submissions made within Units AR50326 and AR50327, their overall professional experience and their maturity as revealed in their ethical attitudes and responses through particular discursive enquiry, that confirms their readiness for entry to the Profession. Students will be expected to prepare for the examination through prior review of and reflection upon each of the written examination papers, preparing further reference notes as necessary on those subjects on which the students may be aware of shortcomings in their original responses; to reflect upon their Professional Experience as evidenced within the Professional Experience and Development Record and the Professional Career Evaluation, and to re-examine the Case Study and those issues that inform and support their professional understanding of matters relating to practice management and project administration expressed through the particular project analysed.
