Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
The overall aim of the Action Project is to create the opportunity for students to tackle a practical problem in a business or organisation and to begin to apply some of the concepts, techniques and skills acquired during the taught programme. For later projects, it provides an introduction to group organisation and project management.

Learning Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete the unit will have demonstrated their ability to:
* plan a practical activity.
* act on that plan, adapting their objectives to meet the needs of the situation where appropriate.
* reflect on the group dynamics that affected the outcome of the project.
* present their findings in a written and oral form.

Content:
Briefing on the Action Project aims; group formation; identification of suitable project; conduct of project; writing up findings and reporting back to peer group and group co-ordinator. Students will learn about other areas in ways which will vary from one project to another depending on the objectives of the project and the circumstances of the team.
