To develop a critical understanding of contemporary issues in the sports performance spectrum. To develop an understanding of pertinent areas within ethics and athlete lifestyle management, leading to analysis and evaluation of the impact of contemporary issues within sport.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this unit a student will be able to:
1. Identify key contemporary issues within sports performance.
2. Analyse and apply the key social theories that underpin ethical practice.
3. Analyse and apply key theories that underpin athlete lifestyle management.
4. Evaluate the impact upon sport of key issues arising from ethics and lifestyle management.
