Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
To provide students with a theoretical and empirical grounding in health promotion and intervention design, evaluation and implementation.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this unit, students will:
* Appreciate the different approaches involved in health promotion
* Be able to evaluate the merits of different contexts of health promotion
* Demonstrate their ability to design, evaluate and implement a health related intervention
* Explain the practical and theoretical issues of intervention design, evaluation and implementation.

Content:
The unit will explore the role of health psychologists in planning, developing, evaluating and implementing health related interventions. It will explore the settings for intervention delivery, the design and delivery of health promotion campaigns and individual level interventions alongside their evaluation and implementation.
