The Sir Basil Spence project for Civil and Architectural Engineers. To give students experience in developing a complex scheme working in teams.

Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of the unit, the student will have demonstrated an ability to undertake complex multidisciplinary design work. They will also have demonstrated verbal and written professional communication skills with their design team, and with potential clients.

Content:
A substantial multidisciplinary design project with teams of civil engineers, civil and architectural engineers and architects. Civil and architectural engineers will concentrate on the sustainable interaction between the structure, building environment, architecture and construction of a building. The project will be tutored both by academic staff and industrial visiting tutors.
