To give students an understanding of the design process and to work within a group environment.
To design an electronic systems practical project to a specification in order to achieve a set of design goals.
To undertake a group exercise for the development of team and project management skills.

Learning Outcomes:
After successfully completing this unit the student will be able to:
Work as part of a team to deadlines.
Understand task management and project team liaison.
Complete and electronic systems design task.
Understand how to interpret a specification.
Construct a plan and budget.
Organize a complex set of tasks and achieve goals.

Problem solving (TFA), oral and written communication (TFA).
Electronic systems design and implementation (TFA).

Content:
Students will work in small groups on electronic systems design problems. Team and project management, group report writing and technical presentations.
