Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
To develop key conceptual and contextual knowledge of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary sports science support teams. Examining the roles of, biomechanists, physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches, sports nutritionists, Physiotherapist, Drs, Psychologist, LSA and how the work with athletes and technical coaches to improve performance across the domains of beginners through to expert.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
* Effectively identify key issues faced by the individual practitioners when working with athletes in a sports performance environment;
* Discuss the underpinning issues from an appropriate exercise and sports perspective;
* Analyse, reflect, evaluate and critically appraise the roles and responsibilities of the practitioner in their working environment in relation to the performance needs of the athletes and their relevance to a specific sports performance context.
