Further information on requisites Requisites: Before taking this module you must take MN10311 AND ( take MN20026 OR take MN20502 ) . Only students who have an aptitude for calculus, matrix-algebra and basics of stochastic processes are advised to take this unit.
Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
The module aims to provide students with understanding of fixed income securities and derivatives, their suitability for risk assessment and financial decision making.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this unit, the student should be able to:
* value fixed income securities and derivatives
* manage risk using derivatives
* critically discuss current market events.
