Description:
 Aims: To complement MA30084 with practical applications of generalised linear models thorough analysis of reallife statistical problems.
Learning Outcomes On completing the course, students should be able to
* formulate a problem and carry out an exploratory data analysis;
* apply the theory of linear and generalised linear models to real data;
* use R for all aspects of data analysis;
* present results in a suitable style.
Content: Application of linear models and generalised linear models to practical problems and implementation in R.
Formulating statistical problems. Choosing an appropriate method of analysis, modelbuilding, verification of assumptions. Working with reallife data. Presentation of results in an appropriate format.
Application of the above through tackling a variety of reallife statistical problems.
