Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
The aim of this unit is to allow the student to develop practical research skills in an appropriate industrial, commercial or academic setting.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the unit the student should be able to:
1. demonstrate an ability to generate original data;
2. analyse the data appropriately;
3. present conclusions drawn from the data.

Content:
The student will undertake a research project in the laboratories of the placement provider. The results of this project will be presented as a written report and as an oral communication.
