Description: Aims:
1. Developing an understanding of the principles the psychology of decision making which underlie leadership in government, industry, and society.
2. Review of research on decision making, leadership and management, examining topics such as heuristics & biases, cognitive expertise & skills, leading changes in organisations, leader-follower relationships, and leadership tactics.
3. Take the theoretical aspects of decision making & leadership and relate them to real situations.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
* Identify and critique leadership styles based on various theories discussed.
* Understand the strengths and weaknesses of various leadership styles based on context.
* Understand what makes a good leader and good decision making
* Understand leader-follower relationships.
* Identify dysfunctional organisations and propose strategies for change.

* Servant leaders, distributed leadership and leaderful organisations
* Dysfunctional and toxic leadership
* Current Status of Leadership Research.
