| Synopsis: | Work in an industrial setting to provide industry-relevant professional development. This will provide the opportunity to use the knowledge and skills gained through the taught part of the course to work with different stakeholders, such as clients, the public, and other industry professionals.

| Content: | - Architectural/Engineering knowledge and understanding: Review and select appropriate techniques, procedures and methods to undertake tasks. Use appropriate scientific, technical or engineering principles.
- Architectural/Engineering Design and development of processes, systems, services and products: Identify problems and apply appropriate methods to identify causes and propose solutions; Identify, organise and use resources effectively to complete tasks, considering cost, quality, safety, security, environmental and social impact.
- Responsibility, management or leadership: Work reliably and effectively without close supervision, to the appropriate codes of practice. Record, allocate or supervise technical or other tasks.
- Communication and inter-personal skills: Use oral, written and electronic methods for the communication in English of technical and other information. Work effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers or the public.
- Professional commitment: Make a personal commitment to an appropriate code of professional conduct, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment. Manage and apply safe systems of work. Undertake architectural/ engineering work in a way that contributes to sustainable development. You will complete the placement during semesters 3 and 4 of your course, submitting the portfolio in December.
