Requisites:
Aims: The unit aims to introduce key technology management concepts and principles, and to explore the skills required to manage product and process innovation at operational and strategic levels. It focuses on the key strategic and conceptual issues that affect the technology management and innovation process. It will also examine how different actors may influence, enable and inhibit the innovation process.

Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
* Identify and describe different types of technology innovation
* Assess the skills and capabilities required to manage emerging technology and innovation
* Apply appropriate strategic tools to contemporary challenges involving technology and innovation
* Analyse the adoption of innovation and technology within an organisation, market or community
* Identify the enabling and inhibiting role of different actors on the innovation and diffusion of emerging technology
