Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of the module students should be able to:
* Discuss examples of ethical dilemmas in psychological practice, and the role of professional codes of practice
* Discuss and critically analyse how psychological research is reported in the media
* Communicate research to both expert and lay audiences
* Demonstrate an understanding of the issues of leadership, effective communication, and productive collaboration with peers in research and professional settings
* Plan, monitor, adjust and document self-learning to improve performance (e.g. continuing professional development; CPD)
* Plan, monitor, adjust and document a programme of work on an on-going basis
* Engage in structured reflection on own performance and skills development
* Exercise initiative and personal responsibility
* Discuss examples of ethical dilemmas in engineering practice, and the role of professional codes of practice

Aims: The aim of this module is to provide students with the practical skills needed to obtain and sustain a career in psychology.
