High resolution imaging of surfaces in air.

The Scanning Probe microscope is used by a variety of departments including chemical engineering for the characterization of membranes, Biology and Biochemistry and Pharmacy and Pharmacology for studies of proteins and nucleic acids. It is a multi-functional instrument that will perform specimen imaging and analysis by a number of different methods. For example:

- Atomic Force Microscopy

- Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy

- Lateral Force Imaging

- Force-Distance Calculations
