Weekly Programme Weekly events

Events are term-time only and in the Ecumenical Chaplaincy Centre unless otherwise indicated.


10.00 am to 12.00 pm (all year) - Services at various times at a huge variety of churches all across town! Find the one for you in our Churches directory, and get the Sunday bus times from First ( U1).

12.30 to 1.30 pm (inc exam periods) - Holy Mass with Father Bill, OSM, the Bath Catholic University Chaplain.


8.30 to 9.00 am - Christian Union morning prayer meeting.

1.15 to 1.45 pm (all year) - University Holy Communion. This is for all Christian traditions.This is a weekly service to celebrate and pray – God’s presence remembered with bread and wine. Everyone, and anyone, welcome. The Lord’s table is intended to be an open table (Luke 22: 19).

6.15 to 7.15 pm - Lectio Divina. This happens on Mondays in term time, when advertised. Check the Catholic Chaplaincy website for details. Open to all of any tradition. Lectio Divina is a prayerful way to read the Scriptures and of encountering Christ.


8.30 to 9.00 am - Christian Union morning prayer meeting.

12.45 to 2.00 pm (all year) - Charity Lunch - Eat a cheap, wholesome lunch and support a charity at the same time.

2.00 to 4.00 pm - "Brew at 2" - Cake and Community, with Karen Turner, Chaplain

5.30 to 6.00 pm (all year) - Sanctuary for Staff and Post-Graduate Students (SSPGS) in the chaplaincy. Simple in format, it will include a bible reading, silence, reflective music and a closing prayer. We will share bread and wine once a month.


8.30 to 9.00 am - Christian Union morning prayer meeting.

12.45 to 2.00 pm - Global Cafe International Student Lunch - free!

4.30 to 7.00 pm - Vegetarian Society cooking demo & meal.

6.15 to 8.00 pm - Buddhist Meditation Group. Held in Chancellors building CB 3.11


8.30 to 10.30 am - Prayer Stations Christian Union Drop in Prayer room with separate stations. Come and be refreshed at the start of the day

11.00 am to 1.00 pm - Cantonese Christian Fellowship

1.15 to 2.00 pm - Just Love Bath prayer group/meeting

6.00 to 6.30 pm - Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every week in term time. Taizé Prayer on various nights when advertised. Both open to all traditions.

6.30 to 9.15 pm - Cathsoc meeting/Social

7.00 pm - Christian Union main meeting, 1W 2.101 continues in the Chaplaincy at 9.30pm for chat


8.30 to 9.00 am - Christian Union morning prayer meeting.

12.15 to 1.15 pm (all year) - James Davenport Group

1.15 to 2.00 pm - Rosary for Peace/ Stations of the Cross in Lent with Father Bill M, OSM

6.00 to 8.00 pm - Text-a-Toastie - members of the Christian Union respond to questions about God with a toasted answer - anywhere on campus. Text in your location and preferred filling, with your question, to 07568 910577

6.30 to 9.00 pm - J Soc Shabbat Meal - occasional - see J Soc. notices


2.30 to 7.00 pm - Cantonese Christian Fellowship.
