BP book prize awarded to students
On Wednesday 9 November 2011, the Department of Chemical Engineering was
delighted to welcome Peter Elstner from BP to present this years BP book prize.
The prize is awarded to students on a chemical engineering degree programme who achieve a B grade or above at the end of their first year. Students awarded the prize each receive a copy of 'Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook.' This year 45 students were awarded, representing 70% of the intake.
Peter Elster congratulated students saying "It is particularly pleasing to see such a high level of achievement and enthusiasm from the 2010 student intake. Well done to all and good luck for your future studies."
