Final-year student placement makes it to the finals of UK Best Placement Student award

MEng Chemical Engineering student Louisa Paes made it to fourth finalist in the category Best Placement Student at the National Placement & Internship Awards (NPIA) 2013.

Louisa was nominated by her line manager at L’Oreal after her outstanding performance as placement student in the cosmetics company during the previous academic year.

Louisa said: “I was lucky enough to reach the final four candidates and was invited to attend their awards ceremony in London which was a lot of fun and also very insightful, with many opportunities to network. Although I did not come first overall, it was a great and valuable experience nonetheless.”
