Successful webinar discusses nuclear power as a circular chem eng journey

Chem Eng webinar on nuclear power image of lecture theatre, audience and speakerThe Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Atkins Global, and the Department of Chemical Engineering successfully delivered the first 2013 Nuclear Technology Special Interest Group meeting at the beginning of March. 

The well-attended event is the first on a series of four national meetings taking place in top-research UK universities.

Nuclear power-IChemEng meeting 20130304The meeting was part of a series of interactive classroom-based webinars held around the UK. The presentation and event aimed to give an overview of the nuclear sector, its history, and the importance of chemical engineers, promoting the nuclear industry as a future career path. The meeting also offered a good opportunity for researchers to network with local nuclear professionals.
