Chem Eng students and staff have smashing time at Ball
Around
150 guests, including staff and students, attended the 2013 Department of Chemical Engineering Ball
on Friday 15 March.
The event was capably organised by the Department’s final-year students and took place at the historic Priston Mill.
Staff and students enjoyed a three-course meal and the Department’s prize-giving ceremony.
Students
Alice Parish Matheson and Lars Luckoff (seen in first and second image with Raymond Holland, SCI
representative) won the SCI Poster Prize while Roshni Set (seen in the third image with Professor
Barry Crittenden) was awarded the BP Process Control Prize.
The Department’s raffle collected almost £300, which will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Professor
Barry Crittenden said: “The Ball is always good fun and a great chance for staff and students to
socialise out of hours. We're all looking forward to next year’s event!”
