Department research develops a greener solution for treating wastewater
Dr Darrell Patterson, of the Department of Chemical Engineering, has led an international research team in developing a method to deal with industrial wastewater. The team has produced a photocatalyst from mussell shells as a cheaper, greener alternative solution to breaking down pollutants in wastewater.
The research has been published in an article in The Chemical Engineer.
