Our Education Plus Placement programme is unique in combining a degree at a top-5 University with a fully-supported, one-year paid placement in an excellent company.
Companies know how well this works. They offer us many more places than we have students. Over half of our placement students get a job offer while they are in their company. Studying Here
Studying computer science here is a fantastic experience. We work hard to build a strong sense of community to support and encourage you during your studies. The student group BCSS is very active in organising lunchtime lectures and workshops from influential people in companies. We maintain strong links with our alumni who help future graduates in a number of ways. They provide skills sessions, seminars, and simply talk about their experiences both as students here and within their careers.
You will also be supported by a full-time Director of Teaching and your Personal Tutor. The Department was commended by the Quality Assurance Agency for its high standards of teaching and we are top-10 for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey.
This is all in addition to the rest of the benefits enjoyed as part of the student experience here at the University of Bath.
