Passport checking sessions

If you are from outside the EU, you must go to either of the passport checking sessions between:

  • 10:00 and 16:00 on Sunday 24 September 2017
  • 15:05 and 17:00 on Monday 25 September 2017

All sessions are in the Library on levels 3 and 4.

We recommend that you go to the passport checking session on Sunday 24 September. This will give you more time on Monday 25 September when you need to attend several other events.

Events on Monday 25 September

Welcome event

Pick up your induction pack, have a coffee and meet other new students in the East Building foyer.

You must register and collect your induction pack between 08:30 and 09:00 on Monday 25 September. You can then stay for coffee and meet other new students between 09:00 and 09:15.

Introduction to University teams

Meet teams from around the University and find out how they can help you during your time at Bath. All introductions take place in the East Building, room 1.1 on Monday 25 September.

You will be introduced to:

  • the International Mobility Team at 09:15
  • the Bath Erasmus Network (BEN) at 09:35
  • Diana Hopkins and Noreen Bannigan from the Academic Skills Centre at 09:45
  • Ben Palmer, the Students' Union Community Officer, at 10:15
  • Su Steenburg from Students Services at 10:30

Campus tours

We will confirm the details of this event soon.

Break

There will be a thirty-minute break between 12:00 and 12:30.

Optional sessions

English language test

If you want to improve your English language skills at Bath, you must take the Cambridge English test so we can put you in the right group for your level.

You can take the test in the East Building, room 1.1 on:

  • Monday 25 September at 13:00

The test will take around one hour.

If you can't take the test then, you can take it on:

  • Monday 2 October at 18:15
  • Wednesday 4 October at 18:15

We will confirm the location of these tests soon.

Residential Welcome

If you have been assigned a place in University accommodation, you must come to one of the Residential Induction sessions in University Hall. The sessions take place on Monday 25 September from:

  • 17:15 to 18:05
  • 19:15 to 20:05

The International Mobility Office will email you with more information about these sessions if you need to attend.

Roman Baths tour

You can join us for a tour of the Roman Baths. This will take place on Friday 6 October. We will confirm further details of the tour and how to sign up soon.

Department meetings

You should also attend your department meeting to meet your Department Exchange Coordinator and learn more about your department and courses.
