Create your reception menu

To create the menu for your reception, choose either menu A or B and then select a starter, main course and dessert.

You can also choose a starter, main course and dessert from the vegetarian menu. There is no extra cost for vegetarian options.

Menu A

Choose one starter, one main course, one dessert.

You must order for a minimum of 80 people. The price is £28 per person including Value Added Tax (VAT).

Starters

  • Crab and ricotta tartlet, local vine tomato and lime salsa
  • Slow-roasted tomato soup, basil oil, parmesan croutons
  • Glazed ham hock terrine, homemade piccalilli, baby leaf salad
  • Beetroot soup, sour cream and chive
  • Wye Valley smoked trout, new potato salad, horseradish, lemon

Main Courses

  • Braised lamb shank, spring onion creamed potato, minted jus
  • Grilled supreme of salmon, creamed leeks, caper and lemon sauce
  • Confit leg of duck, puy lentils, fondant potato, cabernet sauvignon jus
  • Breast of chicken, wild mushroom mousseline, creamed celeriac, sherry vinegar reduction
  • Spiced belly of Gloucester Old Spot pork, white bean and shallot puree, soy and ginger reduction

Desserts

  • Vanilla panna cotta, port-infused Victoria plums, cinnamon glaze
  • Pot au chocolat, shortbread biscuits, amaretto cream
  • Sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce
  • Bread and butter pudding with vanilla bean crème anglaise
  • Apple and cinnamon crumble tart, mascarpone cream

You must order for a minimum of 80 people. The price is £35 per person including Value Added Tax (VAT).

Starters

  • Haricot blanc and smoked bacon soup
  • Morecambe bay potted shrimp with fine herbs, granary toast
  • Serrano ham with tomato and mozzarella crostini, chilli dressing
  • Gravadlax of salmon, grain mustard and dill dressing, herb salad
  • Apple and Stilton tart, toasted walnut salad, balsamic glaze

Main Courses

  • Fillet of Sea bass, courgette and celeriac spaghetti, caviar cream
  • Roasted loin of pork, olive oil potato, braised red cabbage, pear cider jus
  • Fillet of pollock, puree of pea and mint, soft herb Beurre Blanc
  • Roasted rib eye of beef, green peppercorn sauce, dauphinoise potato
  • Chicken breast wrapped in parma ham, cannellini and chorizo cassoulet, tarragon oil

Desserts

  • Crème brulee cheesecake, roasted wild blueberries
  • Treacle tart, lemon curd, crème fraiche
  • Almond and cherry tart, cognac sauce
  • Italian lemon delice, raspberry compote, roasted almonds

Vegetarian menu

  • Gnocchi gratin with spinach, pesto and parmesan

  • Butternut squash, local Somerset goat's cheese and thyme risotto

Arpeggio (Catarratto) Settesoli, Italy Lightly aromatic and floral in character with delicate flavours of white blossom and peaches, balanced with refreshing acidity. Ideal as an accompaniment to fish, white meats, starters and salads. 12.5% £13.50
La Paz (Sauvignon Blanc) Chile Pale straw yellow in colour, aromas of lime and grapefruit core, surrounded by passion fruit notes. Crisp and juicy in the palate, with lime, pear and herbal flavours in delicate balance, with a soft finish. A crisp, refreshing glass on its own or great with salads and light fish dishes. 12% £14.50
Via Nova (Pinot Grigio) Italy Lemony on the nose, with a delicious balance in the mouth, this Pinot Grigio is a very easy to drink dry white with medium alcohol and a gorgeous lingering finish. Lovely on its own as an aperitif, is also a delicious match for fish summer salads and white meats. 12% £15.30
Prestige, Domaine Vigne-Lourac (Sauvignon Blanc) France Punchy, fresh gooseberry aromas with a lingering, clean citrus fruit finish. Match with goats’ cheese or seafood for great results. 12% £16
Chateau Sainte Marie Entre deux Mers (Muscadelle, Sauvigon Blanc, Semillo) France Aromas of passion fruit and grapefruit reproduced on the palate with a touch of banana. Pair with all seafood or fresh salads. 12.5% £20
Chablis Olivier Tricon (Chardonnay) France This is benchmark Chablis, with crisp, citrus overtones and a mineral finish. Try it with any white meats or seafood, such as boiled lobsters with tarragon butter or pork medallions with mustard cream sauce. 12.5% £20

Arpeggio Rosato (Nerello Mascalese, Sangiovese) Settesoli, Italy On the nose this wine displays aromas of sweet raspberries and strawberries with delicate floral notes. The palate is lively bursting with crisp red berry flavours and a good persistent finish. A fantastic easy drinking summer wine, great with salads, fish dishes and BBQ. 12.5% £13.50
Pretty Gorgeours Rose (Cinsault, Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains) France A delightful and dainty rose, ideal during the warmer months, intense lychee and strawberry notes are greeted with hints of violet and good acidity enabling the wine to be sipped as an aperitif or paired with food. Good with tuna nicoise or linguine vongole. 12% £14.50
Arpeggio Rosato (Nerello Mascalese, Sangiovese) Settesoli, Italy Salmon Pink in colour with an aromatic nose of freshly crushed cranberries and mineral elements. The plate is light, dry and crisp, with a delicious balance between zingy citrus and fruity red berry flavours. Very easy to drinks, finishing clean and refreshing. Perfect for the spring and summer, this rose is lovely by itself but can also be great match for salads, fish and light pasta dishes. Try it with grilled or barbecued chicken with a couscous salad or enjoy it with your favourite pizza topping. 12.5% £13.50

Arpeggio (Nerello Mascalese) Settesoli, Italy The Arpeggio Rosso is a medium bodied red with ripe fruit character, soft, well-rounded tannins and a concentrated finish. Arpeggio is ideal on its own as it is soft with bags of fruit, but also has enough body to team with pasta, pizza and red meat dishes. 12.5% £13.50
Barbera Amonte (Barbera) Italy Deliciously fruity with notes of blueberries, cherries and raspberries. Robust with a persistent finish. A good match for meaty dishes such as stew, casserole and steak and kidney pie. 12% £15.50
Chateau du Donjon Grande Tradition (Grenache, Syrah, Carignan) France Dark reddish-purple, this Languedoc red breathes ripe, grapey fruit, raspberry fruits, and fragrant black pepper with a lightly herbaceous 'leafy' back note. Full and luscious on the first taste, its juicy black fruit is nicely balanced by tart, crisp acidity, with soft tannins lurking behind the fruit to create a fresh, mouth-watering flavour - great structure. Very luscious on palate. Finishes on ripe intense black fruit finish - delicious! A good match for grilled meats, sauces and strong cheeses, this wine also works well with duck served with honey. 14.5% £16.50
Château Sainte Marie Red Bordeaux Supérieur (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) France Excellent concentration of blackcurrant and plum on the nose, with similar lovely fruit intensity on the palate. Tannin is very well-textured and the finish is long, clean, refreshing and with fruity complexity. Perfect partner to duck dishes in sauce, strong red meat and creamy cheeses. 13.5% £20

Sparkling wine

NV Dedicato Gran Rose Italy Formerly known as Prosecco Raboso Rose, this wine is not allowed to present itself with this name any longer, though it still remains a refreshing dry, crisp sparkling rose with cherry drop aromas. Great as an aperitif to a summer BBQ. 11.5% £20
NV Prosecco Brut, Stelle d'Italia (Prosecco) Italy A lively crisp sparkling wine with a delicate lemony character and an aromatic, dry, refreshing finish. Delicious on its own, this light-hearted wine will also accompany canapés to perfection. 11.5% £18
NV Valdese Prosecco Brut, Terre di Sant’ Alberto (Prosecco) Italy A classic Prosecco with a fine mousse and a fresh green pear character. Soft and pillowy on the palate with a lingering finish. The perfect partner to fish and seafood. Ideal on its own as an aperitif. 11% £21

Champagne

NV Brut Baron De Marck, Gobillard (Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot) Italy A pure, limpid and soft champagne with stylish character. Its fruit is fresh and appealing, bursting with apples and lemons. An uplifting note of freshly backed brioche adds complexity and class to an elegantly balanced palate. This is a champagne characterised by its purity of fruit and hint of brioche complexity which makes it a classic drunk on its own for aperitif, with canapés or with light fish dishes. 12.5% £32
NV Taittinger, Brut Reserve (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier) France Crisp, citrusy aromas with subtle toasty notes lead to an elegant, balanced palate with a lively, mousse texture and a crisp, flavourful finish. There is no specific drinking occasion for the brut reserve. Its elegance and lightness gives it a flexibility to be the champagne for the moment but it is always excellent as an aperitif. 12% £45
