Submit Proposals by 9 March for CPD Funding
The CPD Support and Development Office is pleased to announce a second call for bids to the University's CPD Development Fund.
The fund has been established to improve the way we meet the training and development needs of regional and national employers and is a response to the government agenda to increase workforce participation in higher education. It seeks to encourage the trial of innovative new ways of working with employers on higher level skills projects
Following the first call for bids in October, seven proposals have been successfully funded to date. (Full details available here).
The fund is now managed by the CPD Support & Development Office, recently established to offer support across the University to those engaging in CPD activity with external employers.
Two types of applications are supported:
- Large grants (worth up to £10k) to develop new provision in a collaborative partnership with employers.
- Smaller grants (worth around £500) to explore potential collaborations with employers.
Projects should be demand-led, and should either address an individual employer’s training and development requirements, or more generally, respond to the needs of a particular sector.
For further information, see the criteria for bids, email cpd@bath.ac.uk or ring ext 6411 or 3745.
Proposals should be submitted by 9 March 2009.
