CPD Launch Event to be opened by the Vice-Chancellor
All staff are invited to attend the CPD@Bath launch event which will take place on Wednesday 4 November at 1.45pm in 3WN 2.1.
Dr Faith Butt, who has responsibility for cross-University CPD, commented: "CPD at Bath has huge
potential for growth and our aim is to support colleagues within the University to develop
high-quality, fleet-footed provision which is responsive to the needs of business and
industry."
The launch event, to be opened by Vice-Chancellor Glynis Breakwell, will celebrate the approval of the CPD academic framework and will showcase activity across the University as well as the newly-established support mechanisms.
There will be an opportunity to hear short presentations from those departments already offering CPD courses, to find out about sources of funding and to discuss potential ideas over tea and cake.
Dr Butt said: "During the development phase of the academic framework and new support arrangements, we have been overwhelmed by the level of interest shown by colleagues in the academic community. "
"The members of the newly-established CPD Support & Development Office will be demonstrating the new light-touch systems and processes which will support colleagues interested in engaging in demand-led CPD."
