Are you or someone you know a middle manager? Have you been managing a short time? Do you have any formal management training or are you just learning this on the job? Would you like to develop your management and leadership skills?
If you answered yes to any of the above you may like to consider the Division for Lifelong
Learning’s
Professional Skills Management course which is accredited by the Chartered Management
Institute (CMI).
This course is ideally suited to practising middle managers. It allows you to use flexible
distance-learning through the University's virtual learning tool 'Moodle'. The units are written in
line with the CMI’s Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Depending upon the number
of modules taken, you will either finish the course with a University Certificate and/or CMI
Certificate or Diploma.
The real benefit of the course is it’s online. So you don't need to go to evening classes or
day release. It’s flexible so you can fit your studies around your work and home life from the
comfort of your home/work computer.
As we appreciate that some of you may be unfamiliar with studying online, we are running two
taster sessions at The University of Bath, Claverton Campus on:
Wednesday 24 February
- 6pm - 8pm
Saturday 27 February
-10am - 12pm
