CPD Funding – New Call for Bids

The CPD Support Office is pleased to announce a new call for bids to the CPD Development Fund.

The fund seeks to encourage University staff to work with external employers to investigate and develop CPD opportunities which meet the needs of their workforce.

Courses which have been successfully developed with the support of the University’s CPD Fund include Eurocode Direct, which helps structural engineers to picture of architect at workconvert from British Standards to the new design codes for the construction industry, Eurocodes. The two day non-accredited course was delivered for the first time in September 2010 and will be offered again this Spring.

The CPD Fund is open to all staff and invites two types of applications:

Projects should be demand-led, and should either address an individual employer’s training and development requirements, or more generally, respond to the needs of a particular sector.
