Saying farewell to Faith Butt
Faith Butt will retire from the University at the end of October after more than 9 years of
service.
Friends and colleagues are invited to mark the occasion by joining Faith for drinks and canapés in the Claverton Rooms on Wednesday 24 October from 3.30pm.
Please reply to cpd@bath.ac.uk if you would like to attend. A card is available in WH 5.23 if you’d like to sign it, or you are welcome to send a message via e mail that we can add to the card insert.
Faith joined the University in July 2003 having previously worked at the University of Surrey. During her time at Bath she has been the Director of the Division for Lifelong Learning as well as the Director of the University of Bath in Swindon. She was the founding Chair of the Western Vocational Lifelong Network (WVLLN), spearheaded the University’s work in women and enterprise and led the south west spoke of the Regional Higher Education STEM project.
Faith was awarded an OBE for services to local and national Higher Education in the 2011 New Year Honours List.
Although retiring, Faith still has undiminished energy which, we are certain, will be called upon by her six grandchildren.
