- To develop a centre of excellence unequalled in the UK
- To provide an overarching organisational structure within which staff and research students can be mentored and developed
- To develop collaborative links with other schools and departments within the university
- To encourage and facilitate publication in leading international journals
- To attract leading scholars and ‘thinking’ practitioners as visiting research fellows, facilitating the development of international networks and increasing the scope for international collaborative research
- To provide an ongoing seminar series that will draw on both members of the centre and leading scholars
- To enhance the linkages between teaching and research, particularly through developing the curriculum of the MSc in Marketing
