Sarah Riley is interested in issues of identity from a social constructionist approach - that is looking at the meanings we use to make sense of ourselves. Projects include examining the way men who work in the professions talk about gender relations; the meanings male students draw upon to make sense of their appearance; how young women experience their body art; and how mothers negotiate understandings of what it means to be a contemporary mother and woman.
