Definition of form
In the case of tension structures and gridshells the geometry of the structure is dictated to a large extent by structural efficiency, and the methods of numerical geometrical definition are related to those of structural analysis. However there are other situations where purely sculptural considerations are paramount and we have been investigating various mathematical techniques incorporated in software to be used for the definition of form.
