Summer Showcase 2015

Monday 6 – Wednesday 8 July 2015
East Building, University of Bath

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies is pleased to announce this year's Summer Showcase. This is the main opportunity to discuss and develop collaborations for the forthcoming year, and to provide a chance for our industrial and international partners, along with anyone else interested, to catch up with ongoing research in the centre.

General information

What is it?

Our annual Summer Showcase focuses on disseminating the latest research in the area of sustainable chemical technologies.

The programme includes presentations from International and Industrial Partners, academics and CDT students. The conference dinner is on Monday evening - all invited!

Who should attend?

This is a valuable opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about the latest developments in sustainable chemical technologies, or to initiate or deepen collaborations in this area.

The goal is to bring together students and academics associated with the CDT, the CDT’s international and industrial partners and various stakeholder groups and professional organisations with an interest in Sustainable Chemical Technologies. Current and new CDT students will be present, with the former presenting some of their early results.

Getting here

Venue

The Summer Showcase will take place in the East Building at the University of Bath — this is marked on the campus maps.

Parking

The University of Bath is easily reached by public transport or taxi from the train station, but parking is available on campus, and parking permits will be available in advance, by request. Permits will be required on all days, so if you wish to have a parking permit sent to you, please send an email, before 17.00 on Wednesday 1 July, to csct@bath.ac.uk with “Summer Showcase — parking permit” in the subject line. The East car park is closest to the venue (see campus map). Alternatively, delegates can use the Pay & Display units situated in the East Car Park at a cost of £1 per hour.

Parking is administered by an external company, that applies the rules very strictly, so please only park in allowed areas, with appropriate permits.

Accommodation

No accommodation has been arranged or block booked (except for international visitors). There are a range of hotels in Bath city centre and some accommodation is available at the university. Delegates should book their own accommodation as required. Bath city centre is compact and most hotels will be within easy walking distance of suitable restaurants or other amenities. The Bath tourism website has useful links to maps, brochures and accommodation.
