Alternative Exam Arrangements
Requests for alternative arrangements for exams and assessment for students with disabilities are made on a proforma and are approved by the Director of Studies.
Advice regarding the recommended arrangements is provided by Student Disability Advice and is based on the individual assessment of a student’s needs. A student will need to meet with a disability adviser to discuss their arrangements and to complete the form.
The approved arrangements are managed and scheduled by the Student Records and Examinations Office.
It is important to note that alternative arrangements for exams and assessment are not individual mitigating circumstances (IMCs). Students with disabilities may have alternative arrangements for assessment and may also have IMCs to be taken into account.
Alternative arrangements for course work assessment that are disability related are also not IMCs.
