Our teaching approach
Our economics programmes are among the very best and we have an excellent reputation. We were ranked 12th in the Complete University Guide 2013 for economics.
We believe in creating a positive and pleasant learning environment for our students. Academic staff are enthusiastic and approachable, with set hours for consultation with students. When studying with us, you will be taught how to reason analytically in solving economic problems by critically appraising economic theory and using quantitative techniques.
We have a strong emphasis on marketable and transferable skills, and our teaching is enhanced by our departmental research.
