Dr Michael Silk wins The Leadership in Learning & Teaching Award
Dr
Michael Silk, Department of Education, is among the winners of the University Teaching Awards
2013. Dr Silk was awarded 'The Leadership in Learning & Teaching Award'.
The winners were announced by Professor Bernie Morley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning &
Teaching). Professor Morley said:
'On behalf of the University's Awards Committee, I am delighted to announce this year's
awards winners. The Committee received an excellent set of nominations, from both staff and
students, all of which demonstrated the exceptionally high quality of our learning, teaching and
pastoral support activities. Receiving such high quality nominations made our decisions extremely
difficult, to the extent that we have awarded the Mary Tasker Award jointly this year. The
Committee members would like to extend their warmest congratulations to all our winners.'
More information and a full list of the award winners can be found on the Learning & Teaching Enhancement website.
