Michael Jamieson

Sports Personality of the Year — Michael Jamieson (BSc Sports Performance).

On May 1st 2013 The University of Bath hosted its annual Blues Awards evening at the Assembly Rooms, where students, graduates and athletes associated with the University receive honours relating to their sporting achievements.

We are pleased to announce that three of our students from the department were among the winners. Michael Jamieson (BSc Sports Performance) was awarded Sports Personality of the Year while Panuga Riou (BSc Sport and Social Sciences) and George Farrant (Bsc Sports Performance) were both awarded Full Blues. Mia Ritchie (Bsc Sports Performance) was also nominated for Sports Personality of the year.

The evening saw a great number of individual athletes and volunteers recognised with Full, Half and Honorary Blues, as well as colours. Most of those given awards were for sporting performance. Demonstrating not only high performance, but commitment to student teams over their time at the University.

More information about the awards and full list of winners can be found on the Blues Awards page.
