MA in Ed with text

The MA in Education programme is a postgraduate degree course which is designed for educational professionals; teachers, administrators and practitioners.  It provides the tools and resources to develop your own skills, and the support to research and reflect upon your own practice.

Student video: about the programme

Typically, students complete five 12 credit taught units plus one 30 credit dissertation.  It is possible to do a general MA in Education, or to specialise in a particular named award.  There are different study pathways within the programme, with a range of units of study. Each pathway has a number of compulsory and optional units, more details of which can be read on the study pathways page.  When you begin your studies with us, we ask you to indicate which units you plan to study.

There are various ways of studying for your degree and you can study full time or part-time.  It is also possible to study towards the International Baccalaureate Teacher Awards 1 and 2 as part of your MA in Education at the University of Bath.

Please see the list of Frequently Asked Questions for further information.
