Apply for Summer School (Doctor of Education)
To apply for the Summer School, you will need to:
Submit your application
Before applying to the Summer School, you must first be enrolled on the Doctor of Education (this can take up to six weeks).
Once you are a registered student on the programme you can complete the Summer School Application Form.

Please make sure you provide us with an email address so we can contact you. We will use this address to send you information about Summer School and your application.
Pay the unit fees
You must pay the balance of the unit fee before the start of the unit.
Your application must be accompanied by:
- Deposit of £300 (this is non-refundable, but will be deducted from the total unit fee).
If you have paid the full unit fee and decide to withdraw, you will be charged the deposit fee.
How to pay
We offer a secure method of payment online and we would suggest you to pay your fees that way. It is easiest to pay using the following method:
- Unit fee deposit
Pay the unit fee deposit of £300 (per-unit) by visiting the University online store. - Outstanding balance of fees
When we have received your deposit payment, we will raise an invoice and email it to you. You can then pay the balance of fees due through the student online system (ROL). Please follow the instructions on ‘how to pay’ which will be in the email accompanying your invoice.
Book your accommodation
You will need to arrange your own accommodation for the Summer School. We offer a flexibility to choose the right accommodation for you.
On-campus accommodation
Accommodation in Woodland Court
Accommodation has been reserved for Summer School students on campus at Woodland Court.
Other campus accommodation
Our Hospitality and Accommodation Services offer accommodation for the Summer School (if booking this, please make sure you state that you are attending the Department of Education Postgraduate Summer School).
We strongly advise you to ask what facilities will be available in the room you have booked and what you may need to bring. Please bear in mind that on-campus accommodation is student accommodation and that facilities vary according to the price.
Off-campus accommodation
To book accommodation away from the University campus, we suggest you contact the Bath Tourist Information Centre.
Getting to the campus is easy and there is a good bus service between the city and campus.
