Jess Francombe
BA Sport and Social Sciences (graduate)
“Students are motivated to study in what is an undoubtedly world class sporting environment. We are engaged and incited to learn by enthusiastic and experienced lecturers, each bringing their own expertise and insights to help us unpack the complex world of sport and physical activity. The interdisciplinary and diversity of the degree created a climate of critique and questioning. Since graduating, I decided to continue my studies at Bath and embarked on a PhD working with the support of the academic staff. Whether looking for a career in research, teaching, coaching, sports development and policy . . . the programme provides the knowledge and critical skills required, whilst remaining student focused and innovative.”
