Medical English Online
The Medical English Online Course is a short English language course designed for Medical professionals who are:
- taking up posts in the UK
- preparing for a Medical English language proficiency test.
It is aimed at Upper-Intermediate level and above.
Course details
This is a flexible online self-study course in 2 modules which will supplement your language learning programme.
- You can study when, where and as often as you like.
- The course consists of medical vocabulary exercises as well as medical context listening and reading exercises.
- The focus is on high-frequency general English and everyday medical English.
- To complete this course, you need access to a computer and an ability to work independently.
Computer-based learning modules are interactive and stimulating.
- You receive immediate auto-feedback with scores and answers.
- If an exercise is difficult you can often request hints to help you.
- You can easily revisit parts of the course.

Dates and fees
The Medical English Online course can be taken at any time of the year.
Fees: £50. Once you have paid the £50 course fee, the University of Bath English Language Centre will send you the Medical English Online link with your user name and password.
The Medical English Online course is also a part of our Medical English Distance Learning course.
